The Caring Northants website is designed to inform Carers and organisations that support Carers about information, events and services that are available throughout Northamptonshire.

Who is a Carer?

The word Carer refers to someone who provides regular, unpaid help and support for a spouse/partner, family member or friend who is frail, has a physical or learning disability or any illness including mental health, sensory loss, substance misuse or is alcohol dependent. This includes those with a parental responsibility for a child with a disability. Young Carers under the age of 18 and children may also be Carers and known as Young Carers.
